How do I sign up to the Charter ?
To sign up to the Charter your business should commit to take action which would have a positive impact economically, socially, or environmentally in a rural area or inspire other businesses to also commit to the Charter. There are many different types and levels of activity that your business can choose from. You can select an option from the menu on the Application Form or specify any other relevant activity you plan to undertake.
Membership of the Rural Charter as a Business Champion is an annual commitment.
The EMRAF Charter Committee is responsible for monitoring that your commitments have been fulfilled.
Around November, we will invite you to demonstrate how you have completed the
actions you committed yourself to. Comments received from
individuals and organisations related to your organisation’s commitment to the
Rural Charter and Rural Charter Activity will be taken into account.
Businesses successfully completing their actions will receive a
Rural
Champions Certificate at an annual awards event which will showcase good business practice.
