Welcome to the EMAN website
EMAN is a regional network which aims to champion, represent and provide an authoritative voice on rural issues in the East Midlands.
East Midland Acre Network started life as the network of five Rural Community Councils operating in the region. With the creation of R3N, a new regional, rural third sector network, the links to other organisations were expanded. Recently it was felt appropriate to merge the two networks as each shared similar objectives and functions. This merger should result in more effective representation for rural communities and for those organisations working with them.
This website will form the main medium through which EMAN will communicate with members and other interested parties. Although not yet complete, it will become a source for rural information, sharing good practice and ideas, enable members to learn from each other and an opportunity for people to work more collaboratively on rural issues.
In addition, the website will eventually include details of the resources available through the East Midlands Acre Network, including rural enterprises and trading activities.
